Our Teachers
We have a strong teaching team with a good base in Steiner Education. Daily Main Lessons will be delivered consistently by 7 teachers and 7 Learning Assistants.
We are very lucky to have an experienced Steiner Early Childhood Teacher, who previously worked at Lorien Novalis (Sydney), with our Kinder/Prep class. She is dedicated to studying and teaching Steiner Educational philosophies, and has been a member of the Senior College of Teachers and an Early Childhood Coordinator. She is a gentle, calm and loving teacher who works with passion and enthusiasm to create learning programs, class rhythms and activities to suit each child and the needs of the whole class. As part of each day, Helen likes to make sure that each child has the sense of being seen and understood. She is passionate about the children’s connection to nature and is enthusiastic about our Bush School program.
Our Class 3 teacher is passionate about Steiner education. She joined the school last year and the children are thriving under her caring, warm guidance. Her classroom is a calm and guiding, yet engaging space with activities and experiences to support the children's learning and development. The amazing feeling that you get when you walk into the classroom lets you know they are all connected and happy.
Our class 4/5 teacher is an artistic, warm and practical teacher who previously worked at Trevallyn Primary School on their Kitchen Garden program. She has been involved throughout her children’s younger years with Steiner Education through playgroup, and practices at home. Now that her children are becoming more independent, she is excited about continuing her journey as a Steiner classroom teacher. She brings a wealth of understanding of working with parents and school communities having been a key part of the Trevallyn Primary School Association for years. She also served on the Tamar Valley Steiner School Council in 2016 and was a key contributor to the school’s vision. Her breadth of artistic and handicraft skills is amazing.
Class 6 have an amazing Steiner teacher who brings many years of experience having taught in Steiner schools previously for over 15 years. Her dedication to Steiner education is evident in her classroom and the incredible work she does with the children each day. We are very lucky to have a Steiner teacher with such a wealth of knowledge to share with her students and with the other staff.
